Not sure if this app is for just alcohol or not. But I've been smoking weed for 5 years and I'm 3 days sober. I'm feeling great. Mind is clear and my energy is back.

This app DEFINITELY applies to marijuana. A drug is a drug. If you see the word "alcohol" or any other drug or process addiction (like gambling, sex porn, etc.) , please know the recovery process espoused in the SoberToo app applies fully. Congratulations on three days. Please keep going one day at a time. The SoberTool method has been helping me since it was first released 5 years ago.

My brother was basically high all day. he would wake up and smoke, mid day and before work he would smoke, he would smoke when he got home from work also. he ended up getting in trouble had to be on probation, no weed allowed. Since he was a witness and accomplice in a major crime the court case is still ongoing and the criminal that committed the crime he witnessed left the country and is wanted, so my brother is still on probation awaiting a court hearing. he is 5 years sober from weed. At first he had a hard time sleeping and had bad anxiety. All that is gone now. YOU CAN DO IT! Remember, you weren't born high. being stoned all day isn't natural. Your body doesn't want that in your system all the time.

Im here to help me stop taking ketamine, which like weed is considered to not be physically addictive. But a psychological addiction is still an addiction. Psychology is probably the biggest aspect to addiction really. Its all about your mental state. Mental health and addiction are related, most addicts have some mental health issues to deal with too. The specifics of withdrawel symptoms may be different depending on the drug, but the craving, the risk of turning to the addiction when under stress, the fact that loads of your money gets wasted to feed the addiction, the fact that you miss oppurtunities in life from being high, are the same for most types of addiction.

All due respect, and depending on frequency of use, when one relies on marijuana, ketamine, whatever the drug is...even the SSRI's for depression, etc., there is tolerance developed which is a physical addiction. Our seratonin and dopamine are affected by the use of the drug. So don't feel bad if you feel physically out of whack for awhile whenever you are initially getting dry from whatever drug. Support from others is critical. 12 step practice is critical to dealing with the physical, psychological and social aspects of addiction. You are correct about the psychological part, but there is also a physical aspect.

There can be withdrawal symptoms when stopping any drug. Drink lots of water! Eat correctly. Exercise if possible. Take care of your spirit but also your body!
