Day 17 Great Ride so Far

So last night I jumped a huge person hurdle for me and didnt fall. I am so proud to say that I was at the hockey rink, with a full bar, with friends drinking and the place I always looked forward to go to be able to drink, and did not have a single alcoholic beverage. I did have arnold Palmers, my new favorite, and the most delicious beef brisket sandwich ever. A few realizations happened for me. 1) I can be in a social situation and NOT drink 2) I can watch my son play hockey and NOT drink 3) when I dont drink I get some delicious food that otherwise would have never had.

Oh My God that is so awesome. That was huge. I am so proud of you! I am sure you thought about it a lot but you stayed strong, still had fun and yummmmmm...brisket! Way to go girl!
