The easiest way to lose a big fish is to have the drag too tight.

Practicing alcoholics and addicts tend to try to control everything and everybody, including our addictions. We think if we manipulate situations, our lives will improve. But more often than not, our attempts lead only to frustration. The key to sobriety and sanity is to let go of control by letting your Higher Power (which can include your Sponsor, trusted friend, therapist, and recovery principles) guide your daily actions.

To-do:

Loosen your need to control people, places, and things and you will notice that your life improves. Instead of controlling, ask for help.
