I am usually upset when something I don't like is happening to me. A tool to take my focus off of me is to be unselfish. Doing something for someone else, even a smile at a stranger, takes my focus off of my problems and relieves my bad feelings. Self-caring is unselfishness, compassion, love, spirituality, and good acts. Selfishness is greed, resentment, fear, and bad acts. Self-caring makes me feel good. Selfishness makes me feel bad.
Today, I choose to be self-caring by being unselfish. I choose to feel good so I will do good acts and not worry about what happens to me. If I fall into selfishness, I will immediately do something kind for someone else.
