Keep your feet moving.

Things are not going to go as planned. The laptop battery is going to drain too fast. The report you received will be incomplete. The repairman will be late. You will have three issues emailed to you at once. Don't drink or drug to numb any of this. They have an old saying in hockey: keep your feet moving. It's tantamount to the 12-step saying of just do the next right thing. So don't think about what's happening to you. Don't judge it. Don't lament. Don't editorialize about life's inherent deficiencies and inequities. Just work your way through it by keeping your feet moving.

To-do:

Think like a hockey player. Keep your feet moving and you won't fall down on the ice.
