Things don't change, but we do

Problems will always occur. That is life. That doesn't change. One one problem dissipates, another replaces it. However, we can change how we respond to challenges. A recovery program helps us change so we can positively respond so we don't turn problems into trouble. Problems: my neighbor disagrees with us. Our eyesight weakens. The internet connection fails. Trouble: I let my anger cause me to yell at my neighbor. I let my stubborness keep me from getting glasses. I let my resentment at the internet provider cause me to throw a chair at the router and go get drunk. Changing my responses from anger, stubborness, and resentment help me solve problems, not create trouble.

To-do:

Today I will focus on changing myself, not changing people, places and things.
