I used to HAVE to do things, today I GET to do things.

When I was using, I had to lose my driver's license, I had to lie to my spouse, I had to show up in Court, I had to work a job I hated, I had to do what my drug dealer and bartender said, I had to go to the hospital for all kinds of health problems, I had to buy drugs. Now that I am clean, I GET to work at a job I can stand, I get to pay bills, I get to see a smile on my spouse's face, I get to....be at peace with myself.

To-do:

Today whenever I feel sorry for myself for having to do anything, I am going to remember that it is in fact a privilege to get to do what I am doing today. And for that I am so grateful.
