I struggled to avoid going carb crazy. Sugar, specifically. For awhile there was a significant increase in my dessert consumption. Which, of course, wasn't a good thing. Better than drinking, of course, but all that sugar prevented me from feeling a lot of the benefits of quitting until I reigned in my diet. That's how I discovered sugar has a negative impact on my mood, as well.
Chocolate. I need a balanced physical, emotional, spiritual and mental life to stay sober. Proper nutrition is important to me.
