Jesus is the only way

Jesus is the only way to get through this recovery. First you get sober then you have to recover from why you started using in the first place. And when you have a relationship with Jesus he will make it easier for you. Pray read the word everyday and you will see how amazing it will.....

Do you think Jesus would want you to push people away from recovery because you were foisting religion on them? Look at what you are doing. You are actually hurting people rather than helping them. Your Jesus would not want this result. You are not being a good Christian by hurting others. Please note to everyone who reads this that AA's Tradition 10 expressly prohibits promoting religion.

I agree with Grateful. Jesus may be one way for many but for others sobriety can come from a Higher Power of their own understanding. This Higher Power could be anything.

Jesus never forced or threatened like you are doing. He invited.

This topic is why AA's 10th tradition, which is about avoiding controversy on outside issues like religion, is so important. This topic only breeds conflict not support. It causes an argument rather than a unification. Unity and support are necessary for addiction recovery. Conflict and argument does not help.

This forum is about sharing his or her recovery journey. However someone gets there and stays sober should be applauded. If you are so triggered by someone sharing Jesus and you think it's threatening or dividing, maybe you need to go back to step one and also recite the serenity prayer. I pray everyone finds a way to get and stay sober. Hopefully, Jesus will be that way for them.
