Tomorrow's resentments are fed by today's expectations

Keep low expectations of people, places, and things. People (including others and ourselves) are imperfect and cannot live up to ideals. Places have challenging weather patterns and difficult terrains. Things break. If we EXPECT differently, we are bound to be resentful and frustrated. And, as it says in the Big Book, RESENTMENT is our number one offender. Left unchecked, resentment is a trigger for relapse.

To-do:

Stay positive but keep expectations low. Whatever happens, your H.P. will see you through. H.P. (Higher Power) is whatever restores us to sanity. It can be a peaceful image in our brain. It can be gratitude, perspective (not sweating the small stuff and it's all small), rational thinking, love, friendship, fellowship...anything good that keeps us sober. Love you!
