Forget about walking a mile in my shoes. Try living an hour in my brain.

We addicts have overactive brains. We argue with ourselves. We get worried. We overanalyaze.  All of this just makes us anxious, stressed, and depressed. At least we are not alone in having tormented minds. But there is a solution.

To-do:

Don't think. Breathe. Do the next right thing. Have faith that your Higher Power (be it God, the group, your living according to good moral principles, love, whatever gives you spirituality) will keep you sober and serene.
