In Control = Out of Control

When I'm controllng my addiction, I'm out of control. This is step one at its core. Non-addicts don't even think about controlling it. And how did our lives become unmanageable? By being in charge of it while trying to control our uncontrollable addiction. We alcoholics/addicts can't manage our own lives and yet, we try to and in most cases try to manage others' lives too. This is insanity. Which brings us to step two. Came to believe that a Power, greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity. How is this done? By relinquishing control.  And that is step three.  Turning our will and lives over to the care of God, as we understood Him. Its all about giving control to our Higher Power.

To-do:

Give the control to your Higher Power, to gain control. Your Higher Power can be any combination of things that keeps you sober. The paradox of the Program is surrendering to your addiction is the only way you can experience victory over your addiction.
