Beware of triggers

A trigger can be a spoon (heroin addicts can especially testify to this). A trigger can be the forest (where I used to sneak drinks as a kid). A trigger can be a mood (happy, sadness, most often stress). Yes, a trigger can be anything. It is up to you (with the help of your counselor, sponsor, 12 step friends) to discover your triggers.

To-do:

Think about what happened before you last used. Take your time and try to remember what events preceded your typical using. Sometimes doing a 4th step discloses character issues which caused you to use. So do not pick up the first one; work a recovery step instead.
