Do you create complicated solutions to simple problems? Do you waste time and energy over little things that are relatively unimportant? Stressed, depressed, confused, nervous, afraid over things that in the big picture won't amount to much and really can be resolved more simply than your anxious mind seems willing to accept? Then you are using a pole vault to jump over mouse turds. You will relapse if you don't start putting things in perspective. Ask yourself, "How important is it …really?" Is it worth our sobriety? Never.
Keep your sense of humor especially if something little is irritating us. Exercise mindfulness (breathe and think about what you are doing). Remind yourself to be grateful that what you're worried about is not really worth the worry.
